This morning, mondo slow. Tonite, positively zippy! The slowdown did make me appreciate how just much I use Anandtech for good info.

Just replied to a thread and it took over a minute to reload the page. I had to stop and refresh.

Traceroute PM sent.

Thank you all for the info, you have been replied to accordingly. Most problems are in the Level3/GBLX network, however there have been repeated routing problems with Savvis as well. I have escalated these issues to NOC so they can contact the appropriate ISP's.

Frankly, the Internet overall has been experiencing issues lately so none of these problems were directly related to us. We did have a slowdown this morning which was quickly resolved and was due to a server, but other than that the sites been running very smooth, and so as our network. These issues aren't directly in our control. We can manipulate the routes that you're taking to us somewhat, but as you can all see by the traces back to you our routing is clean. Feel free to send additional traceroutes including your IP and we will continue troubleshooting.

Today was an unusually busy day with 3x the normal load on the main site due to a few articles being released so that caused a few problems. That has also since been resolved.

Network issues are clearing up and escalating these issues are helping, so keep the traces coming.

I sent you a PM. The forum and home page and dailytech are all soooo slow still. It's been more than a month.

The last two days have been fairly fast - sometimes lightening fast. Still occasional slow downs but not many. One thing I haven't mentioned in the past is that with Yahoo mail, while updating the inbox is always speedy, the advertisements can take minutes - something I don't complain about in general. Don't know if this useful.

mb, thanks. I replied too. I can confirm lately there's been no additional network issues, and since we have over a 99% success rate I can only assume it's software related. Some have mentioned Kaspersky/AVS as a culprit, I've also seen IPS systems and firewalls cause problems as well.

I've had very slow days and pretty quick days and there has been "no change" in the installed s/w on this pc - comodo f/w and antiVir.

AT is crawling right now. I haven't had this issue in months, but today here it is. Been using and still using Active Virus Shield by Kaspersky, nothing has changed there.

Well, I just moved and now have comcast instead of FIOS, and boy the forums are lightning fast once again.
