but I've even seen a shift in my own electronics usage - I live on my phone now and use the computer far, far less than I used to, mainly just when I want to do some long typing, otherwise it's straight to the phone.
Same here. At work I use a Win7 workstation (dual Xeon), but at home I am absolutely fine with my iPhone for 99% of what I do. It just does what I want/need it to do for me.

I would actually like to see Apple push further into the car infotainment world. Microsoft has Sync, which actually works pretty well, and it's always seemed that as much as Apple does like to restrict its users, Apple does try and ensure that what they want to let the users do works well. My car has MyFord Touch (note: this was NOT developed by Microsoft or Ford as Ford outsourced it), and it definitely has some problems or some general user grievances that I think a good designer could help solve.

It may be Microsofts time to rise again just how apple did. Just look at the surface, a flaw but daring brilliant design. Just 1 or 2 gens of refinement should be amazing. Just look at the iphone 1, it had so many flaws most have forgotten, it really took the iphone 4 and ipad 2 to really take the world by storm.

Just look at the xbox, it has kinect, which basically gives you minority report, and illumiroom will add that much more levels of immersion, i don't see how ps4 can beat those two things esp with kinect bundled. I don't have any current consoles, but xbox looks pretty amazing.
