Hi, I have a question. What is the pop3 servers, and also, in outlook, how would I put the user name in. Would it be blah@mydomain.com, or just blah.

When I go to test settings it says it can't log onto the incoming server (mail.mydomain.com).

Thanks in advance.

nevermind, i got it. my password was incorrect. thanks for the help.

it always stops at logging onto incoming server. <- im talking about outlook when you tell it to test the e-mail address/servers.

I dont' use outlook, but your login id would be just 'blah', not 'blah@yourdomain.com'.

I believe you can use mail.yourdomain.com for both incoming/outgoing, but don't quote me on that. I'm using my ISP SMTP servers to send my mail.

Make sure your email has a check box on the plesk server, as seen here.

Also, check out Dixiesys forums - there are lots FAQ's that answer these questions.

I have a personal site hosted with dixiesys.com I have nothing but great things to say about them. Got a great deal for $19.95, 200MB webspace, 25 POP e-mails, I think 4 or 6GB/month traffic, FTP, etc.

Also have 6 hosting packages from CyberWings.com but no domains to host :(

Ditto. They have great support there. I upgraded my account to a reseller account recently. $10/month up to 10 domains, 400MB, etc, etc, etc. Great service!

Damn that's a good deal, do you have a link?

How much would it cost to upgrade my $19.95/yr to that?

Dixiesys Reseller

No charge to change your account. What i did, is upgrade to that account, then change my nameservers to point to my new nameservers on my reseller account, then cancelled my hosting account.

Dixiesys is great, I have their basic $3.95/month plan. I think I'll end up upgrading the the $10 10-Domain account this summer. Their tech support is top notch and the price is unbelievable.

make sure you are using https, not http.

That should work for your domain, if your server has plesk installed. You will get a security certificate error, but just click ok. All new servers have plesk for sure. If it doesn't, just open up a trouble ticket.
