I'm wanting to have a layer in dreamweaver extend (or stretch) to the bottem of the current window. (ex. The user is running 800x600) and the layer that has a graphic in it is 600 pixels in height and if another user is running a higher setting in resolution the layer will fit the current window in height).

I have the extension for dreamweaver called center layers. The layer is centered, but the bottom of the graphic doesn't touch the bottom of the window. If i make the graphic longer, 1000 pixels forexample, when a user running 800x600 views the web page the centering of the layer is all messed up.

My Site, and site with extend layer <-- if you run at 1200x1600 just make the window smaller

um, i hope you all get this, and LMK if you can help

Thanks,
Bryson

I don't use layers much, but have you ever considered using the graphic as a table bg?

ah tables, i tried but, i have a layer on top of another one (layer with pic and layer with text), i was going to do a thing called auto scroll on the layer with the text. The layer with the pic would be stretched and the layer with the text would stretch with itand if the window wasn't stretched far enough to show all the text the layer would have a scroll bar. The scroll bar in the layer would stop the scroll bar in the window from screwing with my centering.

Geaah that was hard to say,
Bryson

I pride myself in being fairly proficient in DreamWeaver, but I'm not entirely sure what you're getting at. :Q

well, what i basicly want to do is find out what the current window height is and make the layer height the same.

Dreamweaver?
That was one of Gary Wright's best songs.

don't think you can define percentages as an attribute in layers, but you really should do this in tables

Ok, no tables. I have two layers on top of each other = no tables. Also i don't want the image to be streched. In other words while it is the bg of the layer it just repeats the image when the layer becomes bigger, and keeps repeating untill it comes to the end of the layer. In a table the image would stretch if i were to make it go to the bottem making it look retarded. Oh well, back to the drawing board

I don't know much about this but it looks like you're attempting to make the site in "design mode". You need to stop that. Make the site in "layout mode", then use design mode for the details.

You can have your site up and running in 5 minutes. Just scap all the layers thing, and use one table with 100% for width and height.
