Is anyone here a Freemason ?

I realize that if there's a lot of intelligent, wealthy, businessmen in AT. Are any of you a Freemason?

If you are, I realize that you probably won't admit it (because of secrecy), so I've created a poll. Please vote honestly.

I'm hoping someone can give a good description of the Freemasonry organization. I'll give it a shot:
Freemasonry is the largest international secret society. Many ex-US presidents were members. It is said that they are the most powerful organization in the world. They often raise money for charities, but when it comes down to it, I wouldn't doubt that Freemasons have a say in any major world event. One note - as far as I know, only men are allowed to join (sorry, ladies).
To become a member you have to be related to someone who is a member (I think).

You may remember that episode of the Simpsons where Homer joined that secret society (because Abe was a member). That was basically a parody of the Freemasons.

Anyone? Just curious because I'm planning on becoming a member (my great grandfather was a high-ranked member in the US).

i know that they have a place in my town of 10000. I saw a documentary on them on TLC, and it seemed like something that didn't interest me.

A group of Freemasons worked me over in the parking lot of Best Buy last year & stole my PlayStaion 2 on launch day..

Yes, it's true.

They're not exactly secretive these days. THere is a site where you can read all their rituals and procedures, and most masons/DeMolays I know alway sport a ring or some other thing...they don't bother trying to hide it. It always sounded like fun, and a friend of mine offered to get me into Demolay which is like the junior div, which is a springboard for nondescendants to get in, and it sounded like fun, but I hate being committed to going to meetings every so often, so I skipped.

A number of people also believe that the Yale Skull and Bonesmen who really are much more secretive about their members and practices are controlling the world.
Pick your Illuminati group--I prefer Church of The Subgenius.

In reality, I like the conspiracy theory from Cube: There's no conspiracy, it's just a bungling headless beast.

PS--That stonecutters episode was hilarious....THE STONE OF SHAME!

You can only become a member if you are sponsored by an existing member.

My half-sister spent the last 20 years researching them (and is probably still doing so) as well as their alleged connection to the Illuminati. I think she's nucking futs.

no. no illuminati either. or democrats. or republicans.

there are, however, many stonecutters.

Thanks for the comments, guys.

Nobody knows much about the Freemasons, though??? All the comments thus far have been hearsay.

Jzero, the Yale Skull and Bonesmen will never amount to the Freemasons. Ever. They are restrictive of a single university - which is restricting them from becoming anything more than a glorified fraternity.

Can you prove they don't?

<< Sounds like a secret society for closet homosexuals to me. >>

Could be. But then that would mean the majority of American citizens have elected "closet homosexuals" to be president. 😉
Actually, looking at Bush, I wouldn't doubt it at all. 😉

<< Can you prove they don't? >>

Nope. But I sure as hell don't shop at Wallmart anymore! :Q

You say that, but you know little-to-nothing about them. I happen to agree with you but I've heard more than a few conspiracy theories about the Bonesmen, and even on a documentary about the club the theory was discussed.
Fact is, they're closer to what fraternities were originally founded as--a secret society, not a drinking club.

PS--you mean "Hearsay" not "Heresy" 🙂

Anyway, you might not believe anything about the Bonesmen (I sure has hell don't) but the theories exist. They also exist for the masons.

<< What exactly is an illuminati? I haven't quite heard of them... can anyone help me out on this? >>

Don't try to play dumb. Why did you skip the NWO meeting last night? There's a lot of rumors in the Order about kicking you out b/c you're a slacker!
And don't forget that our motto is to always tell the truth about your Illuminati involvement. It's far more unbelievable.

Hey! I've seen that Skulls movie! 😀
Actually, I do know very little about the Bonesmen, and I also know very little about the Freemasons. I'm kind of hoping someone can shed some light for me...
But just looking at both organizations - one is a HUGE international organization, with buisnessmen members in almost every country of the world. The other is a not-as-large organization of students/alumni of 1 university. I think my assumption that the freemasons have more power and money is a very safe assumption.

PS---I meant an opinion with established religious beliefs 😉
