<< I think that a Duron 600 and faster can manage folding one WU within 72 hours, no? 😛

Well... if you're like me and run multiple projects on each machine (splitting the processing time between them), then that 600 would just barely doit! 😛
>>

Ah, but you're forgetting one thing: I'm not as crazy/obsessed/<fill in the blank> as you are 😉

I think I'll run Seti at night, together with F@H and during the day only F@H.

yeah, i just found that out.. the time limit thing.. i was going to put it on my siblings computers (both 450 celeries), but they don't leave it on all the time.

bumping for those who may want to do some folding instead of Seti 😉 Not trying to take anything from you guys, just wanna give some notice to anyone that might happen to come across this (ok.. the chances of this are slim.. but we just need 5000 WU to break top 20 😛)

I joined in yesterday with a Pentium III 800 to help out our team stats...

We're a bit away from the top 200 teams, so if anyone joins in with a computer or two we can get to the Top 100...

😀

I hate to see Team AT so far down the list, I put 3 machines on it yesterday. May put one more on tonite.

hey buddy can you spare some cpu cycles ? ?

This past weekend I folded an omelette for breakfast.. does that count?

Hey Osage, good to see you around, how is everything? BTW I've been thinking to do some folding as well, along with Seti, anyone knows if there is something like Setiqueue for folding?

I personally participate in the Distributed Folding project (www.distributedfolding.org), where TA is #15 in the rankings. It's a fun project if you like stats that change a lot, although the project is looking to be over within a month or so at the current rate!

Gus, I'm doing well, just trying to make it thru another winter.

How have you been ? I suppose it's nice and warm in Miami huh ?

I'm happy to see some TA'ers are involved in F@H. I recently heard of this project, and since the race between us and DSLR in Seti@Home is almost over, I signed up yesterday. Now that I see there is an existing team I'll try to switch over, although I'm not sure how at this point.

I'd also like to thank all of you who are involved, and would like to ask those of you who aren't yet involved to consider joining this project.

Well, I just went to the F@H site and entered team 198 into the sign-up box, so hopefully tomorrow it will show me as a team member 🙂

Edit: Checked just now (2/27/02 @ 0800 EDT) and I'm listed in our team's stats...it seemed almost too easy, but that was all it took! 🙂

I'm fine, thanks, working alot ( but I can't complain at least I have a job), around here we are enjoying our winter (with a temp. of around 60/70 degress), and tonite we are expecting to go down to 40 degress (yahoo 🙂), so I'm preparing a food that we eat back in my country during winter, and will be a surprise for my wife because she is still working at her office and she doesn't know. 🙂🙂🙂

Best regards

Eltano Gus

Eltano - you asked about a queueing program for F@H. Unfortunately, there isn't one. That's because of the way the project works where results need to get back to Stanford quickly in order to create new WUs to run. There has been some discussion over the past year about trying to get some type of caching for F@H and a few ideas have been put out there. Hopefully Vijay Pande and his group will come up with something. 🙂

Thanks Poof, I realized that after I posted my question, the reason that I was asking about queing Folding is that I can set up the cruncher in some of my works pcs, and since is about finding a cure for some illnes I will not have problem in doing that, but the problem is that they are not connected to the net, they are in a internal LAN.

Thanks again

Eltano

Hear, hear!
I joined up day before yesterday and have worked up several computers so far. If I get a chance, I'll throw a few more at it.
TA has moved up five positions during that time, so we're having an effect. A few more dedicated peeps and we'll be on our way to respectability.

<< ...we are only 506 points away from breaking into the top 100... >>

Ouch!
Of course, the real kicker will be getting into the top five.

How long should it take for a member to show up on the TeAm stats? It's been almost 24 hrs and I'm still not listed..

RN - you may want to check your client.cfg file to make sure that when you added your user name in the config step, that it "took". It could be that you're folding under "anonymous"... 🙁

Poof, that's one of the first things I checked, everything looks ok. I just set up my wife's comp to do fah too, how long before it should show up on the stats page? Thanks...
