I installed mine this evening on my 1.6A and after 3 hours of benchmarking, I've been unable to get the cpu temperature over 39C. Before this heatsink, I would hit 49C anytime I ran prime95 or 3DMark2001. This is also using Arctic Alumina as opposed to Dow Corning DC340 heatsink compound. Anyway, I'd like ot hear what other MCX4000 users are getting.

Thanks,

Well, what I'm getting is a bunch of noise that makes me turn up my tv when I want to watch it. Nah just messing I'm running the MCX4000 with a 84 cfm Tornado fan running at 5600 rpm. It's a bit loud but I got used to it. When I installed it the first time on my IT7 mobo the long screws touched the traces and some of the small transistors and the motherboard would not work anymore. I RMA it and put some washers on the screws, so now everything is peachy but I can't really tell you any valid temps since the IT7 has been displaying 48C at default voltage and speeds and at 2.85 gig and 1.7 vcore.

BTW it's really heavy.
