OK, so I'm relatively new here, and that must be part of the problem.... But they honestly give me the chills.

I'll be reading alone in the post and then *wham!* there's a bold sentence from a Mod who does NOT like what someone posted or a thread in general. It's like they're omnipotent or something!

The way I described them to my roommates is: they're the gods of AT. Don't mess with 'em.

Impotent? Just because we are the enforcers of the rules here that doesn't make us any more impotent than the next member😉
 
im not scared of them, just a little tired of them forcing their opinion on to the users, flame wars and neffing are a natural part of message boards just let em be, if certain people cant handle them they shoudlnt be posting on such a widely travelled board. their locks and bans have gotten out of hand.
 
Just you! Most of the time the stuff that a Mod posts in goes again AT rules, or isn't appropriate.
 
Actually, the "God" of AnandTech is Anand Himself. No, nobody ever really sees Him. He reveals Himself sometimes, though. The Adminstrator would be Anand's "son." The Mods are the prophets. Dig?
 
I think I'm half and half with them...I don't do anything off the wall anyway so the mods are just there watching over me and laughing at my zany antics most of the time

But I definitely have held back a couple things at times for fear of the mods...

Hell they're all my friends by now... we just had a rough 4 time banning spot... ever since that though things have been smooth. (hopefully to continue)

If you take time to talk to the mods you will find that they are in fact quit reasonable and the ones I have conversed with have been nothing but pleasant. However I must add that like the rest of us they (at least appear) to be human and are therfore prone to making mistakes. Regardless they do great job and it is easy to critized but I am willing to wager than 90% of the posters in this forum would act the same way in thier postion.

Trust us, that ModAway stuff just doesn't work, there's not enough wolfbane in it. And that free toaster? It's a surplus Albanian Army hand cranked model.
 
I am not. I had a few threads locked, but as long as you are not a total troll they leave you alone. Fear of mods keeps this place from turning into an IGN type setup.
