im lookin forward to kicking some butt online this weekend...i bought a ps2 to xbox adapter and it doesnt freakin work for this game, argh. the standard xbox controllers are terrible for this game...

might have to resort to some classic guile cheapness!

Dude, your Guile cheapness is NO match for Bison cheapness. :| That is one fvcking cheap ass character. :|

bison cheapness was totally noobish...it was easily countered with fireballs/dragon punches. or sonic booms, razor kicks. still highly annoying tho.

my major complaint is the xbox controller...its terrible. its impossible to get off any moves consistently, i kept getting pummeled this weekend w/ cheap tactics. i tried to use a xbox to ps2 adapter, but it is slightly laggy and i cant use the original ps1 controllers w/ it.

if that nuby controller sux (which comes out in may for some reason), im giving up.

Uh dude, you haven't tried playing Guile/Ryu (normal) vs Bison Champ. Here is how it goes, if Bison gets you down ONE time, he'll do a torpedo and right when you are getting up, he'll be half way through you. And since I guess Bison was never an available character to play in the original SF, it's hard for the computer to know which way Bison is attacking so you don't know which way to pull back to block. Yes, you can fireball/uppercut/sonic boom/flash kick when he is coming at you, or even do it while you are blocking then attack, but if you can't even get up, you have a REAL problem. Even if you were able to block, Bison takes quiet a bit of energy going through you. He's just a cheap character all around.

bah that is very easy to counter 😛.

i've seen it enough online to know when to block by holding forward (when they are halfway throug you) or holding away to do a normal block (when you can tell they won't be at that halfway point as you are getting up). people seem to be shocked when i can block that cheapness and are like WTF once they see me get up and they haven't hit me with the cheap tactics.

anyways, i bought the nuby SF:AC joystick and this thing kicks ass. it feels like %90 authentic to arcade parts. i say 90 because the buttons are convex (which i actually like more now) and because i know what real arcade buttons feel like (Happ brand) becuase I have a KI2 machine and also built my own joystick for psx with happ parts. yes, i too was pissed that the ps2->xbox controller adapters don't work on this game and that is so strange that its only this game.

and if there's one thing i've learned about sf2 online, its that rank doesn't mean crap. i have beaten the #2, #9, #11, and many w/in the top 50 online. and my rank isn't even .500.
