Is anybody else's Gamecube loud?

My PC is quieter than this thing It's not screaming (ie, no Deltas), but it's deffinitely noticeable. Is this normal, or did I get a lemon?

If I'm in the room with nothing else running and I flip it on I can hear it pretty easily.

Once I get a game going and there's some other sound I don't even notice it anymore.

FWIW, I think mine is quieter than my PC, PS2, and Dreamcast.

X-Box > PS2 > Gamecube > Dreamcast

My gamecube isn't loud at all, I can barely hear it from where I sit. My Xbox and PS2 make all the noise.

Dreamcast was the loudest thing ever.

Never heard a gamecube, but my Xbox and my PS2 are about the same.

anyways, i cleaned out my gamecube of dust, and it's kinda quieter now..u should try that
