Is anybody else tired of ESPN's Red Sox bias???

Every time I turn to ESPN or go to ESPN.com I hear "Red Sox this" and "Red Sox that". What about other teams? The yankees actually advanced to ALCS today, Cubs/Braves are in the process of doing that. Yet, if you go to espn.com main page, there's a huge picture of ortiz and an article on how resilient red sox are. Along with several articles devoted to red sox.

The fact that several of espn reporters grew up in boston and are big red sox fan is well known. Yet, shouldn't every sport-reporter try to be unbiased? Red Sox get as much attention, as if they're the defending champs. I stopped visiting espn.com solely for this reason. MLB.com seems to provide much better, unbiased coverage of the playoffs.

maybe because they have now won two in a row against oakland added some excitement to what seemed like a blowout series?

Yeah, but there really a need to have 3 articles on the subject? It almost sounds like they are fans first and writer later.

How about Cubs-Braves game? There isn't a single link to it, yet that game has a lot more riding on it, since the winner advances.

Peter Gammons doesn't even try to hide the fact that he's a Red Sox fan anymore. Every chance he gets he mentions how "awesome" fenway park is and how "special" this Red Sox team is and how this is the year. Geez get that clown off the air.

Sounds like a bunch of scared Scankee fans to me. Stop your friggin cryin', the Yanks will get plenty of coverage when they get swept by the Sox.

How about you beat the A's first and then start looking up towards Yankees. If both red sox and a's are going to play the way they're playing now Yankees have nothing to be afraid off.

mark it baby, the curse of the Bambino will live on

Pedro will dominate Zito, then it's on to take care of the stupid Spankme's

RED SOX FEEEEEEEEEEEEEVER! Catch it!

I'll be by Fenway tomorrow night for Game 5 if any of you peeps are going to be in Boston

maybe it has something to do with how amazing the red sox are....I mean afterall they were the best offensive team of all time.

You do know that if the Sox advance, and lets say they win the league championship and then go on to win the World Series....

The city of Boston is going to be shut down for a day... not to mention the kind of rioting and celebration in the street of Boston... Crazy and chaotic.

Jeez, cut espn some slack, the sox were WILD CARD CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!

And I'm pretty sure the sox won the world series today by their reaction after winning the game, so espn is right to be making such a big deal about them.

THIS IS THE YEAR!!!!!!! Sure we were 3rd in the AL this year, but I feel it, I know this is the year. We got the Babe's piano!!!!

What bias? They have great incredible taste and a vast wealth of knowledge.

More likely a week, and it will be most of New England, not just Boston.

A day? Are you kidding? Try like three or four. If the Sox ever win the World Series again, it will be the biggest party you can imagine.

What he says about Fenway is true. I live in New York, I've been to Yankee Stadium many times, I've seen the monuments, I've been to other stadiums as well, but when I stepped inside Fenway Park to see a game, there was a feeling that overcame me. It is the greatest ballpark in baseball, and any fan of the game and its history needs to go there.

Some of us are A'S fans who got sick of hearing the glories of the Red Sox. ESPN has not broadcasted one of those games giving Oakland any credit for being there.

I'm sick of hearing about the Red Sox. Even if the A's blow it, I hope the Sox burn without making the series.

I disagree. I went to Sox-Yanks game in Boston last year. We had box seats in right field. For some unknown to me reason the seats are actually pointed towards the outfield. So to watch the game I had to keep my neck turned for 3 hours. Needless to say, I had neck pain for the next 2 days.
