Is Anandtech forum the biggest active community board on the net?

I'm curious. I faintly remember seeing a chart somewhere saying we're #1 in US or something.

AT is big.. but is it THAT big?

S.A. has a subscription based forum, there pretty much anything goes.

I think its like $10 a year.


Edit: note, you don't have to pay to be a member of the forum, you just can't get to all parts of the forum unless you pay.

I have a friend that acts like that forum is his crack.

I dunno about Off Topic, but reading quite a bit of SomethingAwful they're less strict. You have to pay $5 to register though.

How many of the 118,000 users actually use these forums though? I've never seen more than 1,000 people on at once, and usually it's between 400-700.
