Is an I/O Panel necessary?

I bought a boxed Albatron PX845PEV motherboard, and it didn't come with an I/O panel. Will there be any ill effects from not having one?

RFI might be higher. Someone here made a shield out of aluminum foil you could do that.

Some companies still build their mobos to the "standard" I/O shield layout that comes with most cases. In that case, you wouldn't need a different I/O shield. Saves them having to get a custom one made. Such is true with the PX845PEV - it has the standard layout.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm all set now. As Zepper had said, I found out that the I/O panel looked to be of a standard configuration. So, I went around digging in boxes to see if I could find my old shield from my old case I was putting it in, and sure enough, I found it and it fit perfectly.
