Is an automatic that bad?

Get a stick it is way more fun, autos are boring. As for the power I really have to wonder what u guys need all that power for?? I mean u r in the states right, ppl drive slow as hell there anyway and any car with 100HP will get u to at least 120mph so what's the point other than waisting gas. And if u want to tell me now that u r some superduper fast rallye driver or something than why would u even consider an auto.... Great acceleration might be nice to have but not necessary as u will mostly not use it at least not if u r in town.

<< try getting roadhead while driving a stick >>

You need to meet a lady (or man if you're that kind of person) with more skills then.

lol, its not a thing of skills, I mean sure it could be done, but I couldnt drive like that, I like head to much. I mean I can barley drive a auto when getting road head🙂 Now put shifting into the mix, NO WAY.

<< Wait a minute, you've got enough skills and knowledge that you think american cars are going to cost you more on repairs, and you don't know how an auto compares to a stick... >>

Its called going online and looking at a cars reliablity. It's not that hard....

I can drive both manuals and autos, and the manuals can be fun, but really. For the usual drive to and from work, maybe out to get food, in city driving, I like autos a lot better. There is much less mental usage needed to drive an auto. And when you're stopping and going a lot in heavy traffic, manual can get annoying.

That being said, if I were buying a sports car for weekend cruising, I would definitely get a manual, but for regular Joe Schmoe driving in town, auto is my choice.

<< lol, THat is funny what you just "I used to have a Acura GSR, one of the most powerfull NA 4bangers around". Wrong chief, lets see where should I start.

Type-r (Yeh I know a Teggy, but still not a GSR)
Celica GT-S
Nissan Spec-V
New Nissan Altima
Ford Zx2 S/R
2.5 RS
Focus SVT
And there are a few others that are faster but I can not think of them (No those up top are not inorder)
Ones that are equal to your car are
Ford Zx2 base
Civic SI
Cav Z24
GSR
Tiburon
Older Altima
etc... See to me Vtec is a joke, I mean you have to Rev so freaking high just to feel anything. But anyways, not really trying to flame ya🙂

Uh, OK, "Chief" . . . Obsess a little? I never said it was the MOST powerful, and none of the cars you have listed are night-and-day more powerful (not to mention that most are actually less powerful, like the Subie, the Si, the Cavalier Z24, the Tiburon and the ZX2 - these last three are not even close - and the Celica relies on technology that has exactly the same pros and cons of VTEC to build a whopping ten more BHP). I was not that fond of the car, and it was stolen before I had a chance to do anything about it. That said, what the hell is your point, and why be so combative? What do you drive?
