Is an audigy 2 a worthy upgrade?

With EAX 4.0 and CMSS 2.0, yes, it's worth it to me. My previous card was a Live 5.1 before getting my Audigy 2 OEM.
 
thats the regular audigy2.. you should hold out for audigy2 zs model
i've got mine at BB for $58 after rebate a few months ago
 
i got an audigy2 hooked up to a set of Kinyo 5.1 headphones. It works well in doom3, but in movies i don't find it very impressive. how do you like your zalman headphone?
 
I haven't got them in yet (shipped today), but I found this deal and really wanted to jump on it. I didn't end up getting it tho because shipping was 15 dollars 🙁

I called best buy and their audigy 2 value's are 96.99 (Canadian) Finding a good price on anything here is impossible.

Zaku, did you find your previous sound card better than the audigy?

Davidjaii, after reading reviews it seems that for gaming i will notice no differance between the zs and original model.
 
the audigy2 zs i have is better than my old soundblaster live. plus it decodes doby and dts which i liked because i watch DVDs on my computer. got it from newegg for around $65 or so after rebate. my DFI board does have onboard sound, but i never tried it because i built the rig with the audigy from the beginning.
