topic says it all... Can an 8800 GT run crysis in DX-10 on high settings with 2 or 4 gigz of ram with an E6420? In general can any who has the card tell me how well it runs CoD4 and Crysis, smoothly, high settings?

Thanks guys

Yes. It should have no issues whatsoever provided you aren't running a ridiculously large monitor or insist on playing on maxmum settings. Apparently 8800 GTS's run Crysis pretty well and the GT blows them away. I run a GTX, which is apparently only marginally better than a GT and can run it with high settings (rather than ultra) accross the board at 1900/1200 without issue.

The short answer is yes for the graphics card and ram. Your processor, I am not familiar with, so I will leave somebody else to answer that. If it meets the minimum specs then the answer should be yes

High settings with a "medium" resolution would be fine. Very high is usually not possible while getting playable framerates.

I was getting a slideshow (LITERALLY) with my previous 8800GTS OCed to 650/1000 at even 1680x1050 resolution. I had to drop down to 1280x960 and reduce shadows and post processing to medium to get playable framerates at Very High settings.

Playing at a res of 1024x768, or there abouts, with everything on very high I get about 22fps. I am oc'd to 750/1879/900 on Crysis. It plays pretty good at that rate. It tears up COD4 at stock settings easily.
