Gamespot and IGN are web sites that do reviews of computer games. They're somewhat useful when figuring out things like this.

Next week's lesson: How to Google.

Well it depends on what type of multiplayer games you like. Comparing to intensively action based CS, it would be pretty tame. It is more about team work, placing your self in the right spot, crawling, crouching, using your binculers, etc. The action can be really slow at times though. Each game takes a LOOOOONG time, and no spawning in between. You pick a role to play in each team, and your weapon choices are limited by that.

A tweaked (more realistic) version is used by the US Army in training so I suppose it is good.
I just downloaded it and will give it a try sometime.

He's asking the opinion of ATOTers. Give him a break.

I tried it and thought it was alright. It didn't run too well on my old GF2 so I didn't play much. My new video card runs it fine but I don't play it at all (just did some linux testing for it).

YEah it is very CPU and graphic intensive. Definetly not for the slow computers.

i tried it...if you're a n00b right now, don't play it...the people w/ high number ranks or whatever has higher priority in sniper weapons and such..... =(

but hey, it's free, it looks great, and good fun once in awhile

I'm sure he was looking for a more personal answer, from men who he trusts with his very life - ATOTers.

You've let him down.

AmericasArmy rocks and the price is not indicative of the quality that goes in the game.

Definitely well worth the download and you should at least try it out.

Although it has a high 'recommended' system requirement, it shouldn't faze an ATOT'er like yourself. ;)

Tips:

For 30 Sec. to 2 Min. rounds play the map SF:Hospital.
For 1 Min. to 4 Min. rounds play Insurgent Camp.
To get familiar on how to play the game, play Bridge on the Defense side. Rounds typically last up to the 10 minute time limit and you'll have an easier time learning the controls and you really don't have to learn the map.

If you see a character with the name $1.95_RedHairPie or $1.99_FreshCrabLegs, that's me.

Have fun and hope that helps and hope to see you on the virtual battlefield.

I tried it, spent time dedicated to completing training, seriously put effort into it. All psyched up for the real deal, showtime, live fire. First game, some asshat on my own team wastes us, just for fun. That's probably not indicative of the the game in its entirety, but ticked me off so much America's Army was uninstalled five minutes later.

-thumbs up-

Its a great game and i really enjoy it, its not as slow paced once you get decent enough to live longer then the 1st minute. Some good maps to play would be Pipeline, Pipeline SF, Hospital(lots of points), SF CSAR, Weapons Cache, MOUT Mckenna (lots of points too) and thats about it besides the ones mentioned before.

BTW the training is easy just pay attention to what they say, and if its the marksman that you cant pass, make sure you right click to switch into single shot mode ;)

EDIT: people wasting their own team isn't very common, make sure you play on leased or official servers where it kicks them after -400 points, most of the time it happens by accident, if you new you'll be killing your own team a bit before you get the hang of things.

It's a very good game. I don't have the hang of it, but it is a good game, nonetheless.

btw, I downloaded it off of nVidia.com.
