Honestly, out of 14 people I know in relationships, 12 cheat(or want to cheat). Do you find similar figures with your friends? It seems that this is becoming the norm in society...

BTW: only 4 are married, the others are just "going out".

LOL@Amish I was asking some of my co-workers, and they said it is so "i'm" not lonely. I just got out of a 3 year relationship and WANT to be single for awile. Hmmm...their point-of-view has me thinking... :)

I've found myself tempeted lately... My woman is 3 states away for more than a month and I live with a girl and hang out with mostly girls... sooo.... You just have to think how you would feel if they did that to you or just about how they would feel, I love my woman so it's just not worth it.

I have to admit that I know some cheaters and was once myself a cheater. Speaking for myself, I don't mean to cheat. It's just that sometimes I want experience different things with different people yet not lose the core of what I treasure most. which is my partner. Yet it is a selfish act and I realize that now. Now if i want to go out with another girl, I either break up with the girl I am currently in or not cheat at all for the sake of the relationship.

I often wonder the same thing.
Close family - only one couple where both partners are faithful.
Friends - none, one or the other has been playing outside the relationship at one time or another.

How old are your friends mdennison?

All I can say is that kids seem pretty darn permiscuous(sp?) nowadays, and are having lots of sex at an early age.

I don't think that my close friends cheat. I'm happily married and would not cheat on my wife (nor would I want to). :)

<< (or want to cheat) >>

that begs the question: is wanting to cheat as wrong as cheating?
which usually gets the response (from many women): "of course!"
which begs the rebuttle: is thinking cheating is wrong and doing it anyways the same as thinking it's fine but not cheating?

No. While I see lovely ladies all the time why would I want to destroy the most precious thing in my life? She is too wonderful and I love her too much.

Between ages 18-24

I don't know if I can ever be faithful again, but I got a lot of time ahead and will find out! :)

No, it is not. Temptation is part of being human.

I have more than a few freinds who cheat on thier girlfreinds. They dont understand the concept of not getting into a relationship if you still want to pork around. People (here) say I am a pig, because I dont give a commitment, but at least I dont cheat, I think that is way worse.

"is wanting to cheat as wrong as cheating?"

Wanting to cheat is as bad as cheating, but actually acting on it is worse. Don't ask how that works, because I don't feel like explaining female logic right now.

"is thinking cheating is wrong and doing it anyways the same as thinking it's fine but not cheating?"

If you do something even though you know it's wrong, I don't see why anyone would want to be with you. At least the latter has enough common sense to NOT go looking for someone else.
