Is all this Planet X talk really something to be worried about?

eh?

Link to a story before asking an opinion.

And please don't link to theonion.com and expect a well-thought response...

dont you think someone would have spotted it by now if it was threatening to smash into us?

OMG you are such a dumb ass, its not going to crash into us, you would think that a planet in our solar system (meaning some stable orbit) would have hit the earth in the last 4 billion years that weve been around if it was gonna hit use period.

Maybe it's not a stable orbit and took 4 billion years to finally get close enough to do damage, impact or not. Retard.

Now that you let the cat out of the bag, you have to pay. I say that, since everyone is gonna be dead in a year anyway, that you sell everything you own and write me a check for that amount. Send it by the end of the summer, and then prepare yourself for the end.

I, on the other hand, will have a party with your money sometime in 2004.

"One person attending the workshop was of particular interest. He was
a "loud" cement contractor from Arizona, and began trashing "Planet
X" theories during the class room breaks. We soon found out why: he
had not heard of Planet X until just a few months before, when he was
approached by a group of engineers from NASA. This group sent him to
the workshop so that his company would build them several large
monolithic domes in Arizona before the arrival of Planet X. He
thought the entire idea was "stupid", but was very willing to take
their money never the less."

The dome structure is one of the strongest designs known to man, it can withstand the catastrophic winds and other torments which may occur as a result of Planet X passing close to the Earth. I know it's tough for some nerds out there to pull themselves away from Counter Strike but this does seem to be a veritable threat.

After 9.11, anything can happen as far as i'm concerned. I say stock up on weapons and ammo because you're going to need it. Don't burn any bridges with anyone as you may need their assistance. Good luck.

Here's a timeline of events:

JUNE 2002: NORAD CONFIRMS INBOUND PLANET X WITH DEEP SPACE PROBES
JULY 2002: DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE ENTERS UNDERGROUND BUNKERS
AUGUST 2002: NATIONAL SECURITY AGENCY COMPLETES "BRAIN DRAIN" PROJECT.
SEPTEMBER 2002: NASA RELEASES PLANET X PHOTOS TO THE VATICAN.
OCTOBER 2002: NATIONAL RECONNAISSANCE OFFICE GOES "OFF LINE".
DECEMBER 2002: ACCESS TO THE WHITE HOUSE TERMINATED.
JANUARY 2003: ALL CELL PHONE USE TERMINATED.
FEBRUARY 2003: U.S. PRESIDENT MOVED TO A "SECURE LOCATION".
MARCH 2003: ARMY CORE OF ENGINEERS DYNAMITE MAJOR ROADS.
APRIL 2003: SPACED BASED WEAPONS MOVED INTO FINAL POSITION.

It isn't exactly a planet but it is planet sized. They're saying it's a brown dwarf or some sort of burned out star.

I wouldn't worry. I'm sure the ancient astronauts that built the pyramids and Stonehenge will come back to rescue us all in the nick of time. After all they already saved the inhabitants of Atlantis, right? I just hope they don't take us to Dune where we have to harvest spice all day for the Harkonnens. That would suck.

My dad has been talking about this, too.

I'm not convinced. If it were true, everybody on the planet would know about it.. and everybody would be going absolutely fscking nuts.

I am not trying to be skeptical, I wouldn't have any problem believing it.. I was going to say, if I saw something from a reputable source, like NASA.. But then again,

I'm not sure what you can believe anymore.

There has been talk of this since the 70's when I was little. There is no "hard"evidence to support the claims. I'm sure the NASA insiders are the same ones that "leaked" there is clear evidence that the "face" and "pyramids" of mars are the ruins of Martian civilization

The earth will stand still for about three days during Planet X's closest passage, and then, in one hour, rotate a full 90 degrees (the pole shift) during which time winds will average 200 miles per hour. Every volcano on earth will erupt and of course, there will be many earthquakes of great magnitude; so two thirds of earth?s population will die in that one-hour surprise. Then another 20% will starve to death during the next six months because the volcanic ash will cover the earth and keep out sunlight for six months. About 10% of the population (about 600 million) will survive.

Everyone doesn't know about it because it's being kept hush hush by those in power. Think about it, the economy would completely fail and there'd be bedlam all around. It's better to have the population enjoy their last year on earth than to be crazed with fear.

See. This is where it bombs, in my eyes.

I seriously doubt it's possible for the earth to stop rotating...

As much as I would like to believe the end of the world as we know it would come like this... lol.. I think I can keep on dreamin'.

I mean, think about it. What kind of ramifications would there be if the earth stopped rotating, and then turned 90 degrees on its axis? Assuming it's even possible, what could it do to say, our orbit? :Q

it'll hardly change your life and you won't even remember about Planet X by next year when it's supposed to hit.

That day..

"hey remember you posted about that stupid planet X hitting the earth today about a year ago?"

"i did...? oh yea... LOL... dayam.."
