Is AIM+ working for you?

I have AIM+, and everytime I sign on, the whole program shuts down after about a second. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, w/o any help. I've also tried different screen names...
I can use regular AIM fine.....anyone else have this problem?

It works for me. Have you sure you have the latest version? Try reinstalling AIM if that'll work. If not, have you tried Trillian?

thats very odd.....i use it and have never had any problems. just wondering what version did you download (and what OS you using just wondering becuz of the Linux Pengiuin by your name :/)

I had that same problem, sort of. Mine shut down when I tried to use the scroll bar or highlight text on an IM screen or profile. Anyway, I fixed it by installing an older version of AIM and then AIM+ over that and it works fine now. Hope that helps.

Tried reinstalling both, no luck.
I use WinXP Pro, I just like Penguins
I've tried Trillian, didn't really like it that much.....
Are there any other mods to AIM, that are similar to AIM+?
All I really like about AIM+ is the lack of ads, and the History Viewer...

Yea, you're right, it is the wrong forum. I thought that maybe the problem was with AIM, instead of my computer. But since everyone else can sign on ok, I guess it's my problem.

Thats weird i use Win Xp Pro as well.......

maybe you should un-install both aim and aim + then re-install it again.

Yea, Aim+ has been down for me. I don't know why it just gives me some kind of error. O, well I tried reinstalling it and everything. I'm just using regular aim though.

I have the same problem. When I run regular AIM, it works fine.

I've been having problems with my conversations scrolling up halfway back, making me look like a fool when I say to the second party, "um, we already talked about this a few minutes ago.." That got on my nerves to no end, so I uninstalled. I'll try a newer version whenever it comes out.
