Is a Volcano II suitable for my athlon 1.4 non oc?? Also Would you say it is quiet? thanks!!!

It should work wit hgood case ventalation, and it is quiet... however I wouldn't recomend the volcano 2 over 1.2 GHz or so. They make other good cheap HSF's that would do better on a 1.4

Yes, if you're not overclocking you will be fine.

My volcano 2 gave me the same OC as my glaciater did... but the volcano shakes the living crap out of everything...

it was running a 1.33 @ 1.4
no luck with my glaciator, or upgrading of power supply to enermax to get the thing any higher..

Yes, if you're not o/c.

It's &quot;AMD Recommended&quot; and &quot;Designed for AMD Socket 462 up to 1.5 GHz&quot; (from Thermaltake.com)

It's fan is also 31.5dBa, which is louder than a whisper, but quieter than a library.
