Is a relationship sustainable without sex?

if you look at it from a biblical point of view, it's the way God meant it to be.. relationship w/o sex until marriage.l;

Sure, once you're old and decrepit after having been married for 60 years I'm sure there are other factors that sustain the relationship, I should hope anyways. Maybe it's just dependancy.

NICE... I'm in a 5.5 year relationship and will soon be faced with getting married or losing my girlfriend. Sex is already sparse as it is - it's sad and depressing. I try all the time too.

So why do you choose to remain in a situation that is sad and depressing? Why be in a relationship where sex is sparse? Do neither of you enjoy it?

I'm not a biblical scholar by any means, so I wonder if I can be enlightened as to where in the bible it details the requirements here. In other words, with the understanding that marriage is a "sacrament", etc.. but where specifically does it forbid any sexual activity outside of it?
