If you have a person that fits the criteria for suffering a specific mental illness but then you give them a multivitamin every day, would you still call this person mentally ill or just malnourished or both? I'm just speculating but I think some people would say that yes that person was/is mentally ill and the treatment or "cure" was a multivitamin while other people I think would say that the person wasn't mentally ill it was just that they were malnourished and therefore coming to a conclusion about that person was invalid.

Edit: For those who aren't aware of the benefits of a multivitamin:

dont mind what the other kids say, you are special.

Mental illness is in many cases a chemical imbalance/deficiency. I would think a vitamin deficiency qualifies as as much as any other.

I was going bald and my hats got too big. I got a hair transplant and my hats fit again.

Depends on if the symptoms and the successful treatment were documented in the DSM.

this is why you should proof read your post cuz it makes no effing sense. obviously something is missing.

He's talking about the difference between someone having mental problems and being treated through medicine, and someone having mental problems as a symptom of not getting enough vitamins. I think.

It's like if I fast for 10 days and start hallucinating, am I mentally ill?
