Is a GDDR5 graphic card really different from a GDDR3 graphic card with same memory .?

With two identical cards in every way except one has GDDR3 and the other GDDR5.
GDDR5 will be faster but probably not by a huge margin.
Thing that is important is something running GDDR3 is probably an old design and old card which likely won’t age as well.

The speed difference can be quite significant, especially on lower end cards that had smaller buses. Back when the change over was happening, there were cards that came with GDDR3 or GDDR5, and the previous was quite a bit slower.

To give you an example of how much DDR3 vs GDDR5 is, this review uses DDR4 (faster than DDR3) & GDDR5 and DDR4 was 55% slower.
