Is a flash bracket really worth it?

I have a 40D and 580EXII.

I'm debating getting a flash bracket for an upcoming wedding I'm shooting. How much difference do they make? Any examples of pics with and without a bracket? Also, if so can you make a couple of recommendations for some brackets? Maybe one under $100, one $100-$200 and one over $200.

I know I need to get the cable too.

I just bounce off the ceiling. I find it works better. Shoot it at an angle, +1 FEC maybe depending on distance.

I like that you can rotate the camera on it, but it's a bit cumbersome. I haven't found any flash bracket that really feels comfortable.

Did you have a cable for off camera flash?
