Is a drill press to loud for an apartment?

Girlfriend loud when pleasured is bigger issue in my experience.

I once had a wonderful beach apartment in undergrad college, directly on the beach, where the upper floor frequently sounded like they had a bowling alley. Never figured out what that sound was, but exactly like bowling pins falling.
My various girlfriends & I gave them back more than they dealt out. times over! Past days when I foolishly thought life was hard ($), before true heavy responsibilities - back then I had no clue, as most don't.

Ultimately, soon after I relocated to Huntington Beach, that special place BURNED DOWN!!!! How rare is that, that your apartment burned down? Well it did.

Later when I gre up I got tired of beach breaks like Huntington & Torrey Pines, and moved to rock reefs & rocky points. Heaven!

So what you're saying is that I should have sex while operating my drill press to cover up the sound?

Ive used some drill presses that are extremely quiet, now if it was a table saw or a chop saw itd be to loud. But most drill presses arnt that loud.

Get an angle grinder and sheet of corrugated steel. Take a few swipes at it. When your neighbors kick your door in, offer getting a drill press as a compromise.

They make little tabletop mills. Lots of people are turning them into CNC mills.

The harbor freight micro mill is about $300. A lot of people seem to be using it and claim its not too bad. A few hundred more bucks to convert it to CNC.

There are a few other micro mills of higher quality in the $500-700 price range. I think they're a bit larger too.

They also make micro-lathes.

Not that I have a use for it, but it looks like fun.

Steel is generally quieter to drill than aluminum. Aluminum can squeak and squeal. Wood makes a satisfying crunching noise.

I actually have not heard one in front of me. I know that typically anything that cuts or makes holes or makes things smoother makes a lot of sound.

I bet cruise ships have full wood/metal shops aboard. They probably have armed guards to keep the old coots out.

I wouldn't think a drill press would be a problem. Even drilling through most materials, they're still quieter than a television at a reasonable volume.
