I would think it would be faster with high levels of AA/AF and high resolutions.

A 7900GTX is a little faster than a 7800GTX, but not two 7800GTX's in SLI.

Two 7900GTX's in SLI are faster than two 7800GTX's in SLI.

I saw someone selling to 7800GTX's on the For Sale/Trade forum the other day, they only wanted $350 for the pair.

You may want to check it out to see if they're still there.

That is kind of a silly idea, selling your better newer card to get 2 older cards for a speed increase? I'm not sure of the actual specs, but it doesn't seem worth it. Are you not happy with it's performance?

The 2 vs 1 card thing you are talking about might be the geforce 7gtx2 or whatever the ending is. Its the geforce 7 ard with 2 gpus.

that's usually the way it worked out to be. two high end cards equal to one high end card of the next generation. the 8800GTX, however, is faster then quad sli in one card. so...anyway, yes two 7800GTX's are about equal to one 7900GTX.
