Is a 550 fill power a good down comforter?

This 'fill power' seems pretty arbitrary. Is 550 an acceptable amount for a down comforter for ~$100?
 
Gosh I'd kill for one of those about now. It's so cold in here you can see your breath downstairs.
 
My sleeping bag is 770 fill down; that's all I really know about down, though. Dunno how that translates since you are indoors, not outdoors. 🙂

Down comforter is much more comfortable than an electirc blanket imo.

To answer Elemental007, i'm not too sure if that's good or not. I generally go by the weight of it myself.
