Is a 401K worth having?

People who lose money on 401ks are idiots who sell when they should be buying. Smart people had huge gains in their 401k from the financial collapse.

this line of thinking is basically what keeps people in the stock market ponzi scheme as it is.

until the boomers start liquidating their 401ks.

then all we can count on is the FED printing money to give to banks,for them to give to an HFT algo to keep the prices higher on low volume. oh wait like we are today....
