doesnt change the fact you will still get screwed in a 4v4 with carrier swarms. in most of my battles on my 4ghz i7, I'm fine. The day some idiot brought his carrier fleet with mothership, my computer slowed to a crawl.... to top it off an idiot brought 200 marines to support that. It was a lame comp stomp (well not really because Very Hard AI requires SOME work to at least not get screwed in the first 10 min).

I said screw it and I just watched them mop up the comps instead of struggling with low fps to maneuver tanks and reposition them.

Most likely not. Multi stage phase change with the right board, i.e. one with a way, way over engineered power supply (250+ watts stable power) and a very good 32nm chip it's possible, thought. Don't expect the chip to last more than 6 months when you're overvolting (40 percent +) it that much, but if you have the cash you can definitely do it.

Maybe you are better off asking Blizzard to support 4 cores. It was patched into Empire Total War so I don't see why Blizzard can't do it. Especially since they had $90m worth of sales in 24 hours and it's probably up to $250m by now. I think they can afford to do it. Or you could lower the settings.

Dame.. It has nothing to do with settings at this point...

I'll kill something for the multi-core patch.
