Is $569 good for the EOS Digital Rebel XT SLR?

Where are you seeing that price? I can't remember off the top of my head what the normal price for the XT is, but if that's from a web-based dealer in the NYC/Brooklyn area....run away and don't look back.

There are tons of shady companies that seem to be set up in that area, claiming to sell photo equipment. RossMAN can probably elaborate more on this.

Gray market products that don't have US warranties. Dodgy selling practices that try and strong arm you into buying overpriced accessories. Flat out refusing to ship your order UNLESS you purchase said overpriced accessories.
So on and so forth.

The price is clearly too good to be true. That and 99% of the dealers in NYC (short of B&H, Adorama, etc...) are HORRIBLE.
That is a decent price for the 300d...but if you're on a tight budget...DSLR isn't really the way to go as accessories will hurt the wallet. Where are you seeing this price? If its from a camera store in NY, save a few, don't buy it.
I saw the price and assumed it was the 300d...$600 is an awsome price for the XT...but I bet they bait and switch you.
How did $570 turn into $800 btw
Thus the price...
I just ordered my XT body from dell for $700 including tax. That deal is dead, but you should keep your eye out for next one.
