Is 5 minutes bootup fast enough?

Umm Vista has nothing to do with his system taking a long time to boot up.

I'm really sorry to have to bust out Tom's Hardware for this, but it seems AT's W7 benchmarking article didn't include a bootup time test, and I'll bet my personal experiences don't mean a whole lot to you.

From the time I hit the power button, go through the bios and drive check, and have full functionality in Win 7 is 34 seconds. I'm using a Super Talent SSD drive on a Phenom II X4 w/ 4gb RAM.

So yeah, 5 minutes seems a bit much

Well then there ya go but still no reason to assume it's Vista's fault that his start-up times are long. More Vista FUD.
