Is 4.3X ripping speed considered good?

My Optorite tops at 4.3X ripping speed. Would this be considered fast, slow or average compared to other DVD+RW drives?

How long did it take? Are you ripping the dvd to your harddrive? Not sure if 4.3 is good, but on my drive it takes about 5 minutes to rip the dvd.

Are you talking abut single layer or dual? This is the speed for dual layers.

whatever a standard dvd is dvd9... dual layer I guess. Not 5 minutes for every dvd, but some, average was probably around 6 or 7 minutes.

What speed is it? I think mine is about 10-12 minutes? 😕

It really can make a difference with layer and media...I have seen much higher than that and it was even with dual layer with my Lite-On 16x DVD-rom...I have seen up to 11x with an older single layer DVD but I believe I got 7-8x with dual layer star wars episode 2...
