Some interesting results. At least we've established that 3DMark2003 relies almost completely on Hardware DX9 support to run...almost at all! Thanks for the replies! 🙂

Worst part is that some will feel the need to upgrade because of it believing they won't be able to play the latest titles without the hardware support for DX9. How many games even use DX8 now that are worthwhile? NEways....

2.4B@3ghz,167fsb,DDR418,G3 ti200@235/540 for test=1280

Rig in sig scored 1876 3DMarks. And why does this crappy program, new as it is, even try to detect what hardware and clockspeed I have if it is not going to get it right at all?

I ran it when it first came out with a 1600+ o/c @1.75 GHz and 9700 Pro, got about 4800 or so.

Edit: 1600+ not 1400+

thats pretty sick chubs.

i also have a question. i have a GF4 Ti4400 now, since it doesnt support DX9, will games that require DX9, e.g. Star Wars Galaxies (which is finally coming out next week) look really crappy?

As long as it runs Raven Shield and Generals I don't care 😛

You guys realise that new nvidia driver cheat on 3dmark right?

NO WAY!! WHAT? There have been NO threads posted on these boards about that!! This is NEWS!

Odd how he didn't mention ATi was caught doing the same thing.

And that Futuremark stated it wasn't a cheat, but rather it was considered an optimization.

hahahaha "optimization". You backing that bs?

HOW DO YOU GUYS GET 4000+
im getting 3750 avg on my 9500 pro (stock, if i use diff BIOS, goes down to about 2750 @ 300/300)
NF7-S 2.0 200x11 1700+ t-bred

Yet another useless mess of unrealistic numbers, from a benchmarking program that gets way to much notice for the good (or bad) it does.
