The Antec case comes with the 380 watt so I save some money.

It will probably be close imho. I tried a 350watt on:
P4C800 Deluxe
P4 2.4ghz HT
2x 1gig PC3200
2x120gig WD Caviar drives
1 CD-RX
1 DVD-RW
and it ran fine with a Ti4200. As soon as I went to a 6800 I started having big problems. If I ran 1 thing at a time I was ok but I tried to use skype and play Eve-online in a window and my comp instantly crashed every time. Moved to a 550watt PSU and I'm golden. The 380 might get away with it but I thought the 7900 required a good deal more than the 6800. Look at the manufacturer's page for their min PSU wattage, they generally don't BS around. 350watt was listed as min for the 6800 and it was. I could run 1 thing at a time, but AIM + anything or skype + anything and the comp rebooted every time.

Probably, but just barely. Worst is it doesn't power on or things start scaling down (crashing) due to lack of power. Oh, and I hope that PSU has working safety mechanisms for overdraw...

would that be possible to crash down like that..? You make me scared cuz I just ordered a case that comes with the 380W Power Supply too, I'm not sure whether I'll buy a PSU or not that can replace the 380W to something else bigger.. :-/ but how can that be crashed down like that..??? I'm newbie

Stop getting cheap PSUs and stuff. If you're going to dish out money for 7900s and C2D systems, just throw in another few dollars for a QUALITY PSU.

If people reuse their 380W PSUs from ages ago, at least get a quality PSU like a Seasonic S12 600W that you can actually reuse years down the road and not have it be too weak.

Yeah, I have a rig with a 400watt fortron, a pentium 4 prescot, and a 7800GT and it runs it fine.

I have one in my HTPC pushing a 7900GT on an Abit AN8-SLI board with a a64 3200+ Venice core and 2x256 Hyper X ram.. does a fine job for the money.

Power supplies get old. When the capacitors are forced to run at 100% load, they wear out quicker.

This is why you should have some headroom in your power supply, so that you can add some components, and not worry about capacitor aging affecting your stability. I think that for a single GPU system, 500 - 550w is plenty. 600w is a bit excessive, but if you overclock power demands can quickly skyrocket. SLI is another matter entirely.

My system below has a 3 year old 450W Antec in it. Assuming some aging, it is totally maxed out. In fact, I had some stability problems recently, and I had to take out the Audigy 2 ZS to resolve them. It only consumes 10 or 20 watts, but that last bit was making my hard drives intermittently power cycle. Not good.

I'm getting a new Enermax as soon as budget constraints permit it 🙂 I will probably get ~600w, so that I can go to a Core 2 system whenever I want, and be able to overclock.

yeah, that's the fortron that I'm talking about. When I get an 8800GTX/GTS I may need to upgrade my power supply though.
