Is 350 watt enough for me?

Had some random reboots and errors recently. Was wondering if I had a power issue. I'm running on an Antec Sp-350 Smartpower, the one with two seperate 12v lines.

Specs are:

MSI K7N2 Mobo
1x Athlon xp 2600+
1 WD 160 gig Caviar SE 7200rpm
1 Maxtor 160 gig 7200rpm
2x pc3200 512mb dual channel (1 gig total)
1x Verbatim 32x12x40x cd rewritable
1x LiteOn DVD-R+
1x Asus Geforce 6800 at 8X AGP
1x SB Live!
2x case fans

any help would suffice!

well, the thing is, i just remember the good old days where PSU's didnt really matter much. How should I know if i'm good enough? How much power does each device take on average?

It should be fine with that PSU, however PSUs do degrade with age so it could just be that you need to replace the PSU, a 400W fortron costs around $40 (maybe less).

Can you beg/borrow/steal a PSU to see if the problems go away?

Just a note.
I am not so sure about that. The MSI K7N2 has the "P4" connector in addition to the
20pin ATX so good chance it powers the CPU from the +12v rail.

The ASUS A7N8X is a good example of a board which powers the CPU from +5v rail.
it has no "P4" connector by the way.

Anyway, a good 350w PSU would probably be adequate for the system listed. Have powered
very similar set-ups myself with a 300w Fortron PSU without issues.

Which is not to say your Antec Sp-350 is not getting a little long in the tooth. No PSU will
last forever.

Aren't the dual rail Smart Power units actually a Smart Power II? Those are fairly new aren't they?
