Is 300W enough for a p4? (and other questions)

and does using an ATX PSU affect performance in any way? p4's use new 12V pins, but my PSU is an ATX-300w designed for Athlons...


I'm going from AMD to Intel and I wonder if my Antec PS will work fine..

I assume it will because the Soltek board I am buying has an ATX connector. but I'd like to be sure..

i'm using that power supply with a p4 1.6a @2.1, with a bunch of other hardware and fans. antec makes good power supplies, nice and quiet too.

I'm using the same PSU with an ASUS P4B533. No problems.

And it looks like the Soltek board does offer the use of a standard molex connector to supplement the normal board power plug instead of requiring a new PSU.
