Is 250watt power supply enough for a 1.1ghz bird?

I would not use a 250wat on my system. I just built a friend a system and it went threw 2 250wat psu in the first month..

I recommend no short cuts here so get a 300w psu from the AMD approved PSU list .Btw if your PSU is one of the 250w psu on the list that`s recommended for 1.1GHz then you should be fine.

Hmmm... there are still a lot of 250W power supplies on AMD's list all the way up to 1.2GHz!

you should really consider upgrading to 300w. the components in your system might be under-powered
