generic floppy
Acer 50X CD-rom
IBM 40gig HD 7200rpms
GeForce2GTS or Kyro II
SB Live! Value
Inwin S500 w/PowerMan 250watt PS

also...ill b pluggin a joystick (Saitek X36) thru USB port...and, maybe a scanner...but probably not

note: im gettin the generic-ish fan, b/c i need to buy that to get a good warranty :)

note: i MAY OC the CPU...the asus board certainly makes it ez enuf

basically...is that 250watt PS enough? (this is a budget system...saving all i can save) :)

Ixnay...Gigahertz TBirds need 300W minimum (my rule). This is one area not to mess around and cut corners. Power is important to the stability and operation of the system.

For that much gear and for the sake of stability, I would consider a 250watt PS.....**BUT** If I were you, I would try out the 250, and if I ran into problems, I would me ready to go to the 300

A friend of mine cut corners on a PS and it lasted 2 months and when it went it took out the CPU and motherboard.
You need a 300 watt PS

250 will work, but not worth the risk or stress on your PSU.

Your geforce sucks a lotof power to IIRC. Dont they make 20 or 30 watts of heat? (Not a lot compared to a T-Bird, but for a vid card)

AMD wants you to use an approved 300watt PS. Athalon CPU's require alot of 'clean' power. Intel CPU's are not as pickey (except for the p4)
