Is 1440 X 900 a weird resolution?

I have a 19 inch wide screen monitor from HP and sometimes it seems a bit "off". I was updating Itunes today and I had a web page up front while itunes worked in the back. When I minimized the webpage to check itunes, it was still showing the webpage but in the frame the size of itunes. I had to shrink itunes and restore it for it to display properly. My vid card is a HD3870 so it should not have these kinds of issues. Any ideas?

No, 1440x900 is the entry level widescreen res. Perfect for mid-high end systems, my notebook has this res and I'm completely happy with it- no issues at all. I can max out crysis without AA, although I don't have your video card- maybe there is some sort of scaling issue with yours.

With my 9600GT I do 14*90 often even on the 16*10 widescreen - just for the bit of extra FPS and a tad AA.
