Is 1074 a low 3DMark2000 score?

WTF...? I got similar 3DM2K1 scores with a Cell2@850MHz and a Voodoo3...doesn't sound like compliment for a system with TB1200 and Radeon, eh...? :Q

Well, this is a Radeon that is severely crippled. If you read, it was a VE, meaning it has Half the pipelines (only 1) and the bandwidth is only 64 bits (opposed to 128). So in a way, it is "4 times worse than the Radeon DDR". It's not 1/4 of the performance, but it really does take a really big hit.

I haven't installed the drivers yet, mostly because of a small lack of knowledge dealing with mobos and drivers. I'm still looking into it.

But, I have run some other test, and have toyed around somemore, at a higher clock speed (w/ no errors):
Scores:
1024x768 + 183mhz: score = 1307
800x600 + 183mhz: score = 1971
640x480 + 183mhz: score = 2330

My scores do get better as the resolution decreases, but it still isn't that good.

I'll still think over the drivers.............

did your reformat your harddrive or are you using the OEM install of ME? If you did reformat, YOU HAVE TO install at least the Via AGP driver. It is the driver for your motherboard. Without the AGP driver, you are probably getting about 30-50% performance.

man my years old geforce 256 ddr still have much higher scores than that at 1024 x768 32bit.

Okay... well reading that you haven't installed the via 4-1's....... YOU NEED TO DO THAT. My friend had a G2MX and got about 1400 in 3dmark2000, but when he installed the 4in1's he got about 4500!!... INSTALL THEM!

Alright, I installed teh Via drivers, and here's my new score: 2408. Is that still bad for a 64mb Radeon VE w/ DDR?
