Irwin / Crocodille Hunter's last moment video, available?

No Lifer
I really liked this guy and what he stood for and did. I have been reading about him and his death a lot lately.

Apparently they 'kept rolling' as he always pulled through. They supposedly have on tape him pulling the ray barb out of his own heart and them pulling him up on his ship, trying to stop the bleeding before he finally passed.

That's some tough stuff.

I am not trying to be funny or anything else, but just like studying the wild and animals, you study their deaths sometimes....perhaps it's the zoologist/biologist in me.

Just curious.

I haven't seen it publicly released anywhere, and I hope it doesn't get released. There's no need to watch a good man die like that.

YOU SIR ARE A VERY VERY SICK MAN! You just called Steve Irwin a wild animal. DIAF!

I read somewhere that Steve always maintained that in the event of such a tradgedy that the video continue to roll, and that it be shown. I have no verification of this, it's just what I've heard, but if it's true, carefull thought should go towards respecting the wishes of the deceased.

Not that I think it would have much if any educational value, and certainly no entertainment value.

They won't be releasing it. Unless someone was heartless enough to leak it against the family's wishes.

Even regarding his own death, Irwin displayed a sense of humour. He once insisted, "My number one rule is to keep that camera rolling. Even if it's shaky or slightly out of focus, I don't give a rip. Even if a big old alligator is chewing me up I want to go down and go, 'Crikey!' just before I die. That would be the ultimate for me."[23]

There is video of the incident. However, it was turned over to the police afterwards for investigation. As far as I know they still have it. They havent said it has been release back to the production company.

No, it is the asshattery in you.

I work as a scientist and I too have an undergrad in biology and in no way am I interested in looking at the video of a good man dying.

IMHO humans are the most wild of all animals.

People that are saying you are sick....well, I don't agree. Why do people want to see videos of beheadings and such? We're just curious creatures.....get over it.

Don't try arguing with a stoner.

It is our nature to be moribly curious, hence why we rubberneck on the highways, and if an execution of a serial killer was shown on TV it would easily break every ratings record.

just to reply some more, it's apparent that many of you think morally rather than mortally. Nothing in life is really fair...to many people want it to be though.

I used to dissect in college while eating with one hand and separating with another. In Junior College, my mom came home to seeing a cat open on my parents breakfast table and me with a sandwich.

I also get out a lot...i have seen my share of close calls.

death is always terrible. However; I am sure he was prepared for it and composed.

okay and what 'science'...

Your signature is a good statement to my interest though.

pfft. I'd agree with the op. I'd want to see it. Though my reason was stated before by f22 and that's morbid curiosity. Maybe you don't want to cause you think it's sick well stfu and leave me alone. It's not child porn...
