Most of the left knows Obama and the IRS are abusive. They just don't care. No check that - they like it. The left is very two-faced when it comes to abuse and tyranny. The love to carry on about freedom etc but they are always the only people constantly trying to stifle speech and opinions counter to theirs. Look how they pull their hair out over foreign donations yet rake them in like crazy (See Hillary and Obama). Watch how Apple head cries about Indianna but rush to do biz in Iran. If Bush had used IRS vs citzens the media would have gone nuclear. Yet with Obama they conceal and excuse. They are becoming a wicked lot.

What is your basis for the fact that the IRS should discontinue bonuses or allow others to conduct union activities which is likely in their contract?

Can you tell us why you think a partisan report from a house committee that you already know to contain at least one absurd claim (the ACA claim) would be a good source?
 
IRS can garnish wages from a civilian without court order for taxes that they claim is due without due process.

Yet they do not collect from their own employees. Why?
Union activities are supposed to be done on personal time; not government time

Union activities are supposed to be done in accordance with their collective bargaining agreement. Seems like we would need to look at that, no?

Union activities (my guess is paid for food and beverages, most likely paid for venue) is more important than doing their jobs? So are bonuses?

Remember, they had "devastating" budgets cuts that caused over 5 million calls to go unanswered.

My guess is neither of those things were paid for by the government, but you would have to look and see instead of just baselessly speculating, wouldn't you?

Who got these bonuses and why? Are they doing it to retain high quality people? If so, you definitely shouldn't cut back the bonuses. It all depends on actually attempting to understand the situation instead of relying on the report of some partisan legislators.

You didn't answer the question though, now that you're aware of at least one laughable accusation in this report, why do you continue to take the rest at face value? Doesn't that seem foolish? Do you think you would take a similar report from a Democratic committee at face value? If not, why the difference?
 
It's really simple reptillian logic for Republicans. They hate taxes. Thus the enemy is not the congress who makes the tax laws who are at fault, but the evil IRS tasked by laws created by congress to collect the taxes they hate.

I'd add that not only is the report partisan, but the authors were involved in chopping the IRS budget. They have a vested interest in deflecting blame for the negative consequences. It's like the boys who broke a window writing a report claiming the glass was defective. Their families might swallow such a lame story, but everybody else would roll their eyes.
 
Since taking power the republicans have cut the irs budget by like 2 billion. John Oliver just had a segment on this.

A person is getting paid by the taxpayer to work at their government job
The union activities can be done on their own time.
