I have a P4E 3.2 overclocked to 3.6. My mother board is an Asus P4C800-E Deluxe and 1024 Corsair XMS TwinX. My system is liquid cooled using a Koolance case and Antec power supply.
I can run my computer indefinetly with a temperature range of 105 - 115 F. The problem comes when I reboot/shutdown my system. Upon boot up my processor's temperature sky rockets. I know that the temperature being posted is true, because I have external probes monitoring my CPU temperature that roughly collaborate my mother boards monitoring. I have resolved that it is not my cooling or cooling interfaces, but I am unsure if the cause is coming from the motherboard or the processor itself. At this moment I have clocked my CPU back to manafacturing specifications. I have also noticed that only warm reboots give me problems. I'd like advice on what is the likely problem so I do not waste money solving it.
