IRQsome woes

I do`nt seem to have enough IRQ`s on my new KT7/AMD800 system. When windows starts a message reads " SB conflicting with PCI, SB emulator not loaded". Windows loads OK with no apparent problems BUT is this slowing things down? IRQ 11 has SBLive, GEForce and some other stuff assigned to it but no sign of conflicts in Device Manager. Info would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks 😕

unless your playing doom or dos based games disable the sb16 emulation in device properties, don't remove it. and it won't hijack the extra irq.

Disable the serial ports if you are not using them....that will free up one or two IRQs.

I`ve tried disabling the serial ports in bios and the system boots with all sorts of problems, saying the video adaptor settings are incorrect, and there are NO devices listed in system properties. So I have to re-enable them.
I have now checked the "allow LPT sharing" in SB16 emulation settings, which has helped.:|
