IRQL errors and memory/CPU faults

Hello folks, thanks in advance to anyone who can help me with this.

I'm trying to track down a system error or three that occurs with my system. I have the following system specs:

Athlon Barton 2500 OC'd to 2100 MHz(have tested it at slower speeds too, no difference)
1024 MB Corsair LLPT XMS DDRRAM
A7N8X Deluxe 2.0 motherboard
450 watt power supply, forget what brand
Geforce 4 Ti 4200
LNE100 TX 5.1 LAN
TB Santa Cruz sound card
WD740 Raptor SATA HDD, Maxtor 10KII SCSI HDD
Win2K SP4

My system is very well cooled, and seldom exceeds 38°C under even heavy, sustained load.

Am using the latest available drivers for all of these components.

Am experiencing the following symptoms:

1. Random IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL errors while using Bittorrent. Happens at other times, but much less often.

2. Hardware/math errors when using Prime95.

3. Various data corruption and system instabilities that indicate something is less than functional, but no real outstanding, reproduceable errors. Slowdowns, strange program crashes, etc. Again, nothing persistant.

Can anyone here help me isolate and/or track down what is happening to my system, and possibly tell me if I need to fix anything/replace any hardware, etc?

That IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error is a memory problem.

I would highly recommend running memtest on your ram chip(s?).

Dan

I ran the latest version of Memtest86 for over ten hours, completing every test at least once, most twice, and didn't get a single error.

I seem to recall were LL ram didn't play well with certain motherboards. Not sure if yours is one of them.
