IRQ Problem (advice please)

I'm running windows XP, And I'm having an IRQ conflict between my serial port (comm port) and my external modem which is plugged into it. Both devices are using IRQ 4... How do I fix this?

Thanks
Brian.

That's not a conflict. A modem doesn't use an IRQ. It uses the IRQ for the serial port that it is plugged in to.

Ohh. That would make sense 😱 ... Its the only thing I could find wrong. I have two modems, one for internet and one for a fax. Both have seperate phone lines. But for some reason when I'm using one modem the other one will not be detected. But either will work by themselfs, And I know they are on seperate lines....

Thanks
