If the whole point in buying clothes and items from that store is to be different.... whats the point if theres a store in every state?? I just don't understand why ANYONE would even step foot in there. I just thought it was funny that the goal of the store is to be completely out there and different, yet its so mainstream. :p

Back at my highschool, the real way to be "different" was to go buy clothes at thrift stores. Pretty much "one of a kind" items.

thats what always drove me nuts about it!
dont even get me started. what could be so unique about these mass-produced bumper stickers/t-shirts/jewelry that try so very hard to be shocking, interesting and against the social norm?!

.... I just can't see how a company can become this large and yet still be successful when the fad dies out in maybe 5 years or so... if I were an investor, theres no way in hell I would put money into a company that should wierd ass giant stuffed animals and everything else they sell.

I go in there every time I go to the mall because it smells good and they play pretty cool music. I've only bought two things from there, though: my wallet and a "Metal for the Masses" CD for $4. :)

Um, the goal of the store isn't to be out there and different - it's to cater to a certain niche of the market that exists. I haven't worn any goth stuff since high school, yet I've bought several t-shirts from them this year. Is my goal to be out there and different? No, it's b/c I enjoy wearing some of the things they sell.

I'm pretty sure that the goal of the store is to make money.

But anyway, whats the point in being original? Just be whatever the hell you want to be.
