To be fair, since then he's simply had a heart transplant and its not an issue anymore.

Has anyone in this thread cast a dissenting vote ... at all?
My wife and I sat and watched the movie for a while ... and then walked. I almost fell asleep from boredom and the lack of anything new. Everything that happened (up until I stopped watching) was expected and unsurprising.
We ended up watching "27 Dresses" and loved it. That tells you what I thought about the movie. God I'm getting old. When will Hollywood EVER put out something new and innovative?
dude... *sigh*
Dude ...
I was commenting on the sorry state of crap that vomits forth from that holiest of places ... Hollywood. They expect us to just swallow up any/all the garbage that they put out and call a "movie". Many people who would normally be considered "dregs" of society are multi-millionaire "actors/actresses" in this magical place.
I really did not enjoy the movie ... sorry Hollywood, you didn't get my money.

Hope the ending credits mean we will see an Avenger movie. 🙂
I was really confused because... the Avengers Initiative comes after Civil War, doesn't it? And... Nick Fury goes MIA before that, I thought. + its waaaaaaaay too early for Civil War to even begin (Iron Man JUST became Iron Man).
Like I said, the movie seems to exist in its own separate continuity.

Just like all of the Marvel superhero movies, yes? After the first X-Men I only expect the barest of resemblance with the comics 😛 I'm still a little confused as to why they never brought out Gambit... next to Wolverine, he's everyone's favorite mutant.

Some questions:
1. The audio was muffled and fucked up in the theater. What was the reason for the dude installing a core in Stark's chest in the first place? It's holding the shrapnels? I don't know how this part is trying to be realistic.
2. Does Stark's villain actually count as War Machine? I think he has to. In the movie franchise, I think it would be awfully redundant in the sequel to feature another villain that's the 'real' war machine.

Saw it this afternoon and I got really bored with it really quickly, even though there was a backstory to the first Iron Man they could've skipped a few scenes and got some of the fights closer.

Originally it was more of a shield/vest and then later on they give him a heart transplant.
Stane's armor is called "Iron Monger"...War Machine would be Terence Howard later.
