I just got an iRiver and I was using the UMS trick and added files to the iriver and while the folder I put the songs in shows up, the songs don't show up at all so I'm unable to play it. Why don't they show up? How can I get them to show up?

Use EasyH10

The music is showing up in your file list but not in your music play list right?

Also why are you using UMS "trick"

I use some of the other brand of MP3 players. Most of them have some sort of a reconcile function. In Gateways, it is in Windows media player, in an Archos it is done with a menu pack on the player. Your instruction book will have exact instructions and if you don't have it, it will be on line. I have to do a file sync or reconcile on the Archos when I make a new playlist. You didn't give the model, but a search of the site yields the info that at least one model modifies WMP when it is installed and the music is synced as it is loaded. I hope this helps and isn't stating the obvious.

Don't use stolen music.

I hear the RIAA hacked the UMS servers and totally gleamed the cube.
